The Province has been a vital part of the community since 1898 and The Vancouver Sun since 1912. They have special responsibilities to the community, and take those very seriously.

They lead B.C. in news, information, entertainment, commentary and analysis. And they are leaders in supporting cultural, educational, community and sporting events, including:

• The Vancouver Sun Run (www.sunrun.com), Canada's largest 10K run
• The Vancouver Sun Raise-a-Reader program (www.raise-a-reader.com) for children's literacy
• The Province Empty Stocking Fund, helping needy families and children at Christmas
• The BelieveBC campaign that celebrates success stories from all over B.C.
